Salzburg – Vienna – New York

The youngest participant in our process, Fritz Ribitsch (16), presented the project as part of the Salzburg Children’s University on 19 July 2023 in a lecture as a “children’s professor” entitled “Palms in Ausseerland”.

In September 2023, the project will be presented as part of  UniNEtZ in the Austrian Parliament and at the Science Summit on the occasion of this year’s SDG Summit at the 78th UN General Assembly.

Fritz Hinterberger

Born in 1959, studied economics at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz and obtained his doctorate at the Justus Liebig University in Gießen. 1985-1991 Research assistant at the Justus Liebig University of Gießen. Stipensdiat of the German Research Foundation. Since 1985 lecturer at universities in Germany and abroad. 1993-2000 Researcher at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy, Head of the Working Group on Ecological Economics and Ecological Economic Policy. 1999-2020 Founding President of the Sustainable Europe Research Institute (SERI). Since 2019 Senior Scientist at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Main research interests: Ecological Economics, Scenarios for sustainable economies and societes, Quality of Life Research.
